Paradise is only landscapes

And the beaches are not at all heavenly: most of them are crowded with vacationers, and the rest are covered with frozen lava and plants, through which it is not very easy to break through to the water.
Wardrobe
The specificity of the climate has made its own adjustments not only in the lifestyle of Haitians, but also in the style of clothing they wear. The climate here is very humid, so everyone dresses very lightly, simply, sometimes even casually. No heels for women and closed shoes for men. Even in expensive restaurants, you can find locals wearing slippers and shorts. None of the staff will lead an eye.
Pineapple and more pineapple
This fruit is held in high esteem here. It is actively used as a medicine – the bromelain enzyme increases blood clotting, relieves inflammation, and relaxes muscle tissue. Pineapple is often put on the table as an analog of our bread and salt before the arrival of guests. In Hawaii, residents grow fruit on their own, so the import of hummingbirds here is prohibited (they intensively pollinate the plant, impairing its taste).
Living here is an expensive pleasure
According to experts, a comfortable life on any of the islands of the archipelago will cost about 120 thousand dollars a year. Housing rent here quietly reaches $ 2500-2700 and they say that agreeing to rent an apartment here is sometimes no easier than going through an interview with a large company. Buying an apartment can cost $ 500-700 thousand. Products are also not cheap, but all because they are brought from the continent.
Note to insectophobes
I am glad that there are no snakes on the islands, although the locals brought several dogs trained to catch reptiles for fear that tourists would accidentally bring them on ships. But there are more than enough insects here. “Crowds” of ants and termites attacking houses, flying cockroaches, and giant centipedes are a real horror for an in-technophobe.
The ocean is a source of danger
Luxurious Hawaiian beaches, washed by a pacifying ocean – such a sight can be found, perhaps, only in the picture. Giant waves are common here. This is a great option for surfers, but you shouldn’t relax in the water, and even more so – turn your back to the ocean. Local superstition carries a quite reasonable meaning – if you gape and you can be carried away into open waters.
